GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Acting on a tip, investigators with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations charged a 19-year-old man with five child pornography files on his cellphone.
Adisson Tyler Reedy was taken to the Clay County Jail on Feb. 21 after being arrested for five counts of possessing, controlling or viewing obscene material depicting child pornography and using his cellphone to facilitate a felony.
According to a heavily redacted affidavit for an arrest warrant, Reedy is suspected of using the Snapchat app to obtain the files between Sept. 22 and Nov. 29. At least three of the files contained “apparent prepubescent children.” Investigators traced the IP address back to Reedy. After getting search warrants for the phone, Snapchat account and his mobile service provider, the CCSO digital forensics lab determined there was obscene material on the phone.
Reedy’s next court appearance will be on March 26. Until then, he will be held with a $550,018 bond.
