The Clay County District School’s Oversight Committee reviewed objections to 45 books on Tuesday and decided 22 didn’t meet the requirements of the obscenity guidelines outlined in Chapter 847, which was created by the Florida Legislature and signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2022 and will be removed. A full committee will re-examine three other books, while the remaining 20 will remain in media centers.
