ORANGE PARK – An array of paintings now adorn the walls of the Thrasher-Horne Center Gallery on the St. Johns River State College campus. The collaboration by the Art Guild of Orange Park and the First Coast Plein Air Painters will be displayed during box office hours, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The exhibit will be available until June 30. Admission is free.

The Art Guild of Orange Park has worked to ensure that it provides arts education and support to our member artists, including supporting emerging artists through mentorship and its scholarship program.

The First Coast Plein Air Painters defines its painting style as being produced outdoors in natural light, following the tradition of many artists from the 19th century. Work on display included the first-place pieces from Plein Air’s Christopher Flagg and William Gura from The Art Guild of Orange Park.

Betty McKee’s "Copper Kettle with Peaches” won Best in Show for Orange Park.
