Theodore Deering Manning, Jr. was born to Theodore Deering Manning, Sr. and Sarah Manning on November 16, 1955, in Belhaven, NC. Ted received a Master’s Degree in Theology studying Old Testament Hebrew while attending Oral Roberts University in 1985 and then received his MBA at Nova Southeastern University in 1997.

Ted played trumpet, and piano, as well as sang and loved to serve the Lord in his local church. He was an avid runner and enjoyed fishing with his sons, Austin and Samuel. He loved to study the Bible and teach the Word. Ted will be remembered for his smile, his leading praise and worship for many years, his sweet disposition as he dealt with Alzheimer’s disease the last five years of his life, and most importantly as a faithful follower of Christ.

  Ted is preceded in death by his mother and father, Theodore Deering Manning, Sr. and Sarah Manning, his daughter Shannon Manning, son, Nathaniel Manning, and his nieces Rebekah and Katy Williams. 

  Ted is survived by his daughters Rachel Phillips (Brian), and Sarah Wilson (John), sons Austin and Samuel Manning; grandchildren Grant and Reese Phillips (Maitlyn), Allison and Aubrey Manning, and Anne, Kate, Evelyn Wilson and well as many nieces and nephews.
