As the Clay County Tax Collector’s Office was turning over money and clothing to The Vineyard Transitional Center last week, a group of employees were already accepting donations and goods for Quigley House.
The Community Cares group identifies a nonprofit and places collection containers at all four of its locations – Green Cove Springs, Keystone Heights, Orange Park and Middleburg. Their newest project is Quigley House, Clay County’s only dual-certified domestic violence and sexual assault center.
Through March, residents can drop off their donations of cash, laundry soap and fabric softener, cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner, adult and child body wash, socks of all sizes, undergarments, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, towels, washcloths and hangers.
The offices are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays.
