GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The Clay County Tax Collector’s Office used all four of its branches to accept donations of cash and clothing last month for the Vineyard Transitional Center, and it turned over $1,627.21 and several bags of underwear, socks and T-shirts. The money and goods will help newly released inmates from the Clay County Jail who are gaining life and job skills to be an asset to the community. During Wednesday’s presentation, Pastor John Sanders of the Vineyard was joined by Miesha Coleman and Shara Mason of the tax office, the Vineyard’s Joseph Smith, and Kelly McCormick, Margaret Sprauge and Chelsea Lamberth of the tax office.
