ORANGE PARK – A confidential informant helped the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrest an Arizona man for trafficking heroin and fentanyl.

Jeremy Dubre Shannon, 38, was arrested on Aug. 9 after deputies found 2,084 counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl.

The informant set up the drug purchase in June. Deputies stopped Shannon on July 29 after the buy, and a K-9 alerted them to the likely presence of illegal narcotics.

Shannon’s bond was set at $250,003.
