St. Johns Country Day School Kate Staten, just a seventh grader regains her breath after a splendid third-place team finish at the Region 1-1A championships held Friday in Jacksonville. Staten and the Spartan girls and boys cross country teams both advanced to the Class 1A championship race in Tallahassee on Friday.
