Ridgeview’s NJROTC Cadet Walker attends Basic Leadership Academy

ORANGE PARK – Raelynn Walker recently was one of only four girls chosen to be cadres at the U.S. Naval Academy’s Inspire Program.

At the three-day program, Walker was handpicked to represent Aaron Bean’s Fourth Congressional District, which includes Clay, Duval and Nassau counties. She will return as a Commanding Officer at the Basic Leadership Academy this summer.

At Inspire, she shadowed freshman midshipmen throughout their day. She attended classes and regimen formation and met with distinguished staff members who were invited to participate in dinner with the candidates and answer any questions or concerns about the Academy.

The Navy is her first choice, and she aspires to become a Naval Officer after high school.

Walker is a straight-A student in International Baccalaureate Education, a program similar to Advanced Placement.
