Informant helps CCSO bust man for methamphetamine, fentanyl
ORANGE PARK – A Clay County Sheriff’s Department’s confidential informant helped put a Jacksonville man behind bars for trafficking and delivering methamphetamine and fentanyl during a controlled buy.
on a litany of drug-related charges.
Joseph Lee Lunsford, 53, was arrested on July 22 and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and sale and delivery of fentanyl, after deputies said Lunsford sold the informant drugs on Blanding Boulevard on Dec. 10, 2020.
Lunsford, whose next court appearance is Aug. 17, is being held with a $575,009 bond.
CCSO turns child porn tip into arrest of Keystone Heights man
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – A local man was being held at the Clay County Jail with a $250,015 bond after he was caught with 17 files of children performing lewd and lascivious acts.
Christian Georges Johnston, of Keystone Heights, was charged on July 22 with four counts of possession or viewing depictions of children in sexual conduct and one count of transmitting child pornography, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
The CCSO Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a cyber tip on Nov. 22, 2020, about an IP address it believed was being used for child pornography. And investigation led to the discovery of files.
Johnston’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 17.
CCSO: Orange Park man caught with backpack filled with drugs
ORANGE PARK – An alert Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputy saw what appeared to be a couple breaking into cars at a Wells Road hotel wound up arresting a man on July 21 for a variety of illegal drugs.
Ryan Alex Delahoz, 27, of Orange Park, tried to convince the deputy he was “Richard Staples,” but the deputy remembered arresting him two days earlier for narcotics. Delahoz then used the name Alexander Perez before finally providing his real name, according to the arrest report. As soon as Delahoz’s real identity was learned, he ran from deputies. He was later found inside a grocery store on Wells Road and arrested.
A search of his backpack led to him being charged with possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, Xanax and drug paraphernalia. Delahoz also was charged with providing a false name or ID, as well as using a fake ID.
His bond was set at $270,021.
