ORANGE PARK – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office uncovered LSD, psychotropic mushrooms and marijuana during a traffic stop for an expired license tag on March 11 on Wells Road.

According to the arrest report, Jeffrey Chambers II, 26, of Jacksonville, was charged with trafficking more than one gram of lysergic acid diethylamide, possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana and possessing a hallucinogen with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell after the deputy noticed the tag expired last December.

When the deputy approached the car, he smelled marijuana, which prompted a search. CCSO also uncovered a handgun and learned Chambers had two outstanding warrants out of Duval County for driving with a suspended license.

Chambers’ bond was set at $625,009.
