JACKSONVILLE – Chief U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Corrigan sentenced Elliott Dubenion, 40, to five years and 10 months in federal prison for distributing 40 grams or more of fentanyl. Dubenion had pleaded guilty on Sept. 27.
According to court documents, agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office identified Dubenion as a mid-level supplier of fentanyl to other dealers in Duval and Clay counties. Agents conducted two controlled purchases of fentanyl directly from Dubenion in Jacksonville on Jan. 27, 2023, and Feb. 7, 2023. According to lab reports, Dubenion sold approximately 84 grams of fentanyl.
The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Aakash Singh prosecuted it.
