Is the Bible True?

In a world filled with a myriad of conflicting worldviews, a fundamental question seems to constantly arise: Is the Bible true?

Proverbs 30:5–6 emphatically teaches, "Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar." These verses affirm that every word in the Bible is true, serving as a protective shield for those who seek refuge in God's promises. This reassures us that the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but a source of unshakable truth and the very words of God Himself.

2 Timothy 3:16 reinforces this belief: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right." These words tell us that the Bible is God's inspired message. It guides us, helping us discern truth from error and leading us toward righteousness.

John 17:17 encapsulates the essence of God's truth: "Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth." In this prayer of Jesus, we find the affirmation that God's Word is truth itself. It has the power to transform us, to make us holy, and to lead us in the path of truth.

So, is the Bible true? Absolutely! It is the living Word of God, an unwavering source of truth in a world often filled with confusion. It is our guide, our teacher, and our source of wisdom. In its pages, we discover the timeless message of a loving Creator who reveals Himself and His purpose to humanity.

As we navigate this life, we should anchor ourselves in the unchanging truth of the Bible. Let us approach its words with reverence and an open heart, seeking to know the God who imparts His truth through its pages.

In a world where truth may appear uncertain, we have the privilege of holding onto the steadfast truth found in the Bible. This truth guides us, sustains us, and transforms us into the image of the One, as stated in John 14:6, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
