GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The Hero of the Day series hosted at the fair daily at 5 p.m. in the Early Florida exhibit continued by honoring Marvin Page.
Page became a detective in 2010 while also being enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was described as having "worked with great success" in both departments. He has just recently been awarded the rank of Chief in the Coast Guard.
Upon being handed his wooden plaque, Page felt very humble. He said a spot had already been picked out to display it.
"The wife says it'll go in our home office," Page said.
