GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The Green Cove Springs City Council unanimously passed a proclamation of Code Enforcement Officers’ Appreciation Week during last Tuesday’s meeting. The week of June 1-5 is officially recognized, as was Code Enforcement Officer Ben Plourd.

The singular consent agenda item discussed and voted on was the submission of a Competitive Florida Technical Assistance Grant Application to the Department of Economic Opportunity in the amount of $40,000. That grant would finance the preparation of a complete online mapping system for the city. That item passed by a unanimous vote of five to zero.

In council business, the council voted 5-0 to reject all bids in relation to Broker Services for Health, Dental, Vision, Life and other insurance benefit plans. The motion was made by council member Connie Butler, to reject all bids and have the review committee return with recommendations.
