ORANGE PARK – During his 50-plus-year career, Ricky Skaggs has won 15 Grammy Awards, eight CMA Awards, nine ACM Awards, 13 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards, nine ICM Awards, two Dove Awards, three honorary Doctorate degrees and countless other awards.
Ricky also has 12 consecutive Grammy-nominated albums from his Skaggs Family Records label.
Skaggs will bring his band, Kentucky Thunder, to the Thrasher-Horne stage on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, on sale now to members, are available at the box office or at thcenter.org.
Skaggs has been honored with inductions into the Gospel Music Association’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Musicians Hall of Fame in the past decade.
In 2018, Skaggs was awarded membership into the National Fiddler Hall of Fame, the IBMA Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and country music’s greatest honor, the Country Music Hall of Fame. Most recently, he was awarded the prestigious National Medal of Arts in 2020.
