FLEMING ISLAND – A man already in jail for recording unsuspecting girls in the Fleming Island High restroom now faces additional charges for possession child pornography.
Carlos Esteban Duque Estupinan, 19, of Fleming Island, was charged on Aug. 14 with 10 counts of possessing photos or videos files of children performing sexual acts. According to the arrest report, more than 100 images were in the 10 files.
Duque Estupinan was arrested on May 19 after a girl said she caught him in a stall in the restroom. According to the arrest report, he was caught using his cellphone to record girls. When he was detained by the School Resource Officer and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Duque Estupinan allowed them to search his cellphone and they found a video of a 14-year-old girl using the restroom.
During a follow-up investigation, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office investigators found at least 10 files of young girls performing sexual activities. According to the affidavit for the arrest report, one of the children depicted was 5 or younger.
Duque Estupinan will appear in court on Sept. 18. He will remain in the Clay County Jail with an $825,033 bond until then.
