GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Clay County will honor its fallen soldiers Saturday at the TAPS Monument in the Historic Triangle on Saturday at 10 a.m. The monument, located at 915 Walnut St. behind the 1890 Historic Courthouse, has the inscription of 66 service people from Clay County who died while serving their country during the Civil War, World Wars I and II, Korea, Vietnam and the Global War on Terror. Their names will be read one at a time, followed by a single bell ring. The ceremony will include speeches by special guests, a wreath laying, music and recognition of veterans.
