FLEMING ISLAND - On a blistery hot Saturday morning, the Fleming Island Dreadnaughts Mighty Mites football team opened with a 78 yard scoring run from tailback Tristan Stevenson en route to a 31-0 win at Fleming Island High School.

After defensive stop at their own 10 yard line after St. Augustine went 60 yards on their opening play, the Dreadnaughts got tackles for losses from Wyatt Raposa, Jonathan Riley and Jaidyn Gomez to set up Stevenson's house call on the Dreadnaughts ensuing series.

Fleming Island locked down St. Augustine in their next series with Ryan Siliac breaking through for a tackle for loss on third and five.

After the punt, with Rapoza dancing for 15 yards on the return, the Dreadnaughts offense went right to work with Reese Miller pounding for a 36 yard scoring run and a 13-0 lead. Brody Arnett took a sideline pass from quarterback Raposa and dove in for the PAT points.

A massive sack by defensive end Isaiah Hrabal put St. Augustine at fourth and 15 on the next series with a punt putting the Dreadnaughts back on offense.

On a third and 14 play that included a bad center snap, Stevenson rumbled through the center of the St. Augustine defense to a 38 yard scoring scamper and a 19-0 lead that last to the half.

Fleming Island would add 12 points in the second half for the 31-0 win.
