Junior High baseball and softball action between Green Cove Springs and Lakeside with Cougars winning 17-7 in baseball and Lakeside won a tight 3-2 softball game against the Lady Cougars with Lakeside pitcher Lili Johnson whiffing eight. Karsyn Robinson for Lakeside got on base with an infield error then scored the gamewinner off a single from Bella Thomas. The Green Cove Springs baseball team, now 4-1, scored 10 runs in the second inning with Wyatt Rapoza dialing up and hit and a steal for a 7-5 lead then three singles in a row got the score to 11-7 with Rapoza stealing a second base off a Gator error.
