LYNN HAVEN – Clay High baseball avenged a 3-0 loss in the 2017 region 1-6A final with a 2-0 win Tuesday night over Mosley High of Lynn Haven.
Clay scored solo runs in the third and fourth innings behind a line drive from Tyler Spence that drove in Nick Barrie and a pinch hit from Garret Chun that scored Blake Parker in the fourth. Senior pitcher Connor Solomon was “lights out” according to coach Josh Persinger. Clay heads to the Class 6A Final Four on May 30 in Fort Myers.
