CLAY COUNTY – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said people are spoofing its non-emergency number (904) 264-6512 and telling people they missed their court dates.
The impersonator will tell you to send money to avoid having an arrest warrant issued.
CCSO said this is a scam. Warn your friends and family to hang up if you receive a call like this. If you have a question and want to determine if the call was legitimate, call (904) 264-6512.
