KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Keystone Heights High School girls golf coach Billy Jackson has his little giants of golf; led by Camille Jackson and Sloan Siebert, running on all cylinders as area golfers gear up for their district golf tournaments on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 15-16.
Jackson’s Lady Indians put a final touch on defending their district 6-1A title behind Jackson’s 36 stroke round Monday afternoon against Middleburg High, the defending district 5-2A runnerups behind Bishop Kenny, led by Victoria Greene.
At Eagle Landing Golf Club, Jackson smoked her round of 36 with teammates Sloan Siebert and Candace Jackson both finishing with scores of 40 to put the Indians on pace for a record round of 164 for the team score. Ashton Ludwig finished at 48 with Savannah Heintz at 49 and freshman MJ Rivera in at 55.Greene stayed close with a round of 44 to lead the Lady Broncos and put her name in the running for a second Class 2A state tournament bid with teammate Jewel Taylor second Bronco at 55 and Lydia Smart in at 56 for the best scores for Middleburg.
