Last chance for some teams at this point to get straight in playoffs with plenty of district clashes. Fleming Island had Buchholz on the ropes last year, but blew fourth quarter to get knocked out of playoffs. Bobcats lose graduate QB Camden Orth's 25TDs. Game is a home game this year with much improved Golden Eagles senior squad itching for extra games. Clay travels to visit former coaches Matt Toblin and Joshua Hoekstra at Bolles in oddly scheduled game considering evacuation of coaches. Bartram Trail has been achilles heel to Oakleaf in past years and this game could be pivotal again.

Thurs., Oct. 17
6A-Middleburg (3-7, 2-4) at 6A-Terry Parker (3-7, 4-2) (6 p.m.)
Middleburg lost 48-0 to Gainesville High. Parker beat Ed White 19-12.

Fri., Oct. 18
4A-Keystone Heights (5-5, 5-1) at 3A-Taylor (3-7, 3-3) (7:30 p.m.)
Keystone Heights got up 21-7, but lost 28-21 to Wildwood. Indians run game limited to just 119 yards. Colton Tibbitts caught three of eight passes for night. Ian Schofield had two catches for 54 yards. Taylor lost 38-0 to Father Lopez.

7A-Buchholz (7-4, 4-3) at 7A-Fleming Island (6-4, 6-0)
Fleming Island beat First Coast 17-14. Buchholz lost 41-17 to Fletcher.

5A-Clay (4-6, 0-6) at 4A-Bolles (8-5, 5-1) (7:30 p.m.)
Clay came back from a 31-7 deficit to lose in overtime 44-43 to Menendez. Bolles beat Melbourne Central Catholic 48-6.

8A-Bartram Trail (7-3, 7-0) at 8A-Oakleaf (5-6, 5-2)
Oakleaf missed a two-point conversion attempt after pulling back to a 34-33 game to lose to Mandarin in a key district 1-8A game. Mandarin had 21-7 halftime lead. Oakleaf scored 19 fourth quarter points with Sean Washington catching two scores and Walter Simmons scoring on a run. At 34-33, the two-point pass play was caught out of bounds. The ensuing onsides kick was also caught out of bounds. Oakleaf defensive end Chantz Williams scored on a three yard run in the first half, but left the game with an injured arm. Freshman running back Devin Outlaw set up Williams' score with a 52 yard run. Mandarin answered with a 52 yard scoring pass and a 39 yarder on their next two series.

5A-Orange Park (6-4, 4-3) at 5A-Eastside (7-4, 2-4)
Orange Park lost 21-15 to Baker County. Eastside lost 14-12 to Ridgeview

5A-Ridgeview (5-5, 1-6) at Menendez (8-3, 4-2)
Ridgeview beat Eastside 14-12. Menendez won in overtime 44-43 over Clay.

Georgia Christian (1-9, 1-7) at IND-SJCDS (3-6, 2-3)
SJCDS had a BYE. Georgia Christian lost 52-22 to Lafayette Christian (LaGrange,GA).

Game of the Week: Fleming Island puts a notch in the belt with big home win over Buchholz. Hyams has best night, 4TDs. Seybolt main target, 3TDs. Payne 2INTs.
