The Whippoorwill Circle from the Garden Club of Orange Park has added flowers, mulch and small American flags to the garden beds around the Carrie Clarke House at Clarke Park on Kingsley Avenue in preparation for Veterans Day. The group deadheaded the existing mums, pulled weeds, planted three trays of pansies and added more coleus, pentas, and shrimp plants to the flower beds. The house will be used for a reception following the Veterans Day ceremonies at Magnolia Cemetery. Mayor Connie Thomas thanked the Garden Club members for their hard work in beautifying this historic home.
