• Green Thumb, the country’s oldest and largest provider of mature-worker training employment honor Clay County Manager Robert Wilson, 73, as Florida’s Outstanding Older Worker of the Year.
• Not only was Joey Lawson crowned Homecoming King at Ridgeview High, he also had 245 all-purpose yards the same night to lead the football team to a 19-6 win against Middleburg.
