OAKLEAF – Saint Leo University’s Jacksonville Education Center is now open in the Oakleaf Town Center, an open-air regional shopping center.
The new teaching location occupies a stand-alone, 8,400-square-foot outparcel space near The Home Depot at 9775 Crosshill Blvd.
“The Saint Leo University team is excited about offering classes in this great location that will be convenient for our students and prospective students,” said Katie Degner, assistant vice president for the Florida Region. “The new Jacksonville location will offer spacious classrooms with the latest technology for our students.”
The center bachelor’s degrees in accounting, criminal justice, human services, elementary and middle grades education, business administration, psychology, computer information systems, and health care management. Evening and online classes are also available, said Jessica Starkey, center director. The new center will also offer associate degrees.
The center includes five classrooms, administrative staff offices, and a computer lab, as well as Saint Leo’s online library collection, online tutoring, and personalized career services, Starkey said.
In addition to the Jacksonville location in the Oakleaf Town Center, Saint Leo also offers classes at its Naval Station Mayport office, which was established in 1994.
An open house is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. on Dec. 14, so area residents may learn more about Saint Leo’s offerings in Jacksonville, tour the new center and meet with faculty.
