As summer once again draws to a close and Americans from coast to coast gear up for the season’s last long weekend, Boats Group, the business behind Boat Trader, YachtWorld and boats.com, offers a few timely tips and a reminder to look forward to fall boating.
• Stay Safe: Earlier sunsets, cooler nights, and changing leaves can be misleading. If you’re going to be out on the water all day, bring layers of clothing and be sure to still pack plenty of sunscreen and plenty of water to stay hydrated! And, as always, make sure your boat is outfitted with all the proper safety equipment.
• Bring a Friend: If you have ever spent any time on the water, we don’t have to tell you how fun it is or about the endless memories that can be made. Everybody likes to have a friend with a boat, and there is no better way to grow the boating community than to introduce the next potential owner to the wonderful world of water sports!
• Seize the Day(s): While there is plenty of good boating weather left beyond Labor Day Weekend, we all know these next few days are most people’s unofficial end to summer. What better way to cruise into fall than to do so on the water with friends, family, and fun?
• Fall is the New Spring: Thanks to cooler temps, less-crowded waterways and colorful foliage, fall has always been one of the best seasons for boating. And this year, as spring brought record rainfall in many parts of the country, it’s time to extend boating well beyond Labor Day and enjoy beautiful afternoons watching football from the water.
To learn more about how you can make the most out of your Labor Day Weekend, or about how BoatsGroup is reinventing how American’s shop for and buy boats and watercraft, please don’t hesitate to shoot me a note.
