FLEMING ISLAND – The Rotary Bike Ride and Family Fun Ride is set for Saturday, Oct. 3, starting at the Hibernia Baptist Church.
Riders from all over are coming early to rider in two different rides. Then a new event has been added this year: Family Fun ride and Kids Bike Rodeo.
Family Fun will ride the Black Creek Bike Path and back to the church.
Children who are just learning bicycling skills can attend a Bike Rodeo sponsored by the NEFL Health Planning Council and will receive a bike safety helmet.
The GCS Rotary, Fleming Island Rotary, Orange Park Rotaract Club and Fleming Island Interact Club will all be volunteering. They, along with secured sponsors, plan to give everyone a safe outdoor event to participate in now that the weather is cooler.
eis fundraiser will benefit The Way Clinic, Clay High School College Scholarships and other Rotary charities. To register, go to https://rotarybikeride.org/.
