Woman jailed after roommate reports missing jewelry

FLEMING ISLAND – A woman already out on bond for drug charges was arrested on July and charged with stealing $30,000 worth of jewelry from a friend, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said.
Jessica Rose Stamm, 40, of Jacksonville, was charged with grand larceny on July 28 after a former roommate said several pieces of jewelry were taken from a jewelry box and pawned at several places.
According to the arrest affidavit, the pieces were taken between Feb. 15 and May 7 when the two lived together on Fleming Island. The jewelry was recovered from pawn shops in Clay, Duval, Bradford and Putnam counties.
Stamm was out on bond after being arrested on Jan. 27 for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Woman arrested after being caught with drugs in her bra

ORANGE PARK – A Middleburg woman went to jail on drug charges after she was stopped on Wells Road for not wearing her seatbelt.
Alyssa Lauren Blankenship, 27, was charged on July 30 with trafficking heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, fentanyl and methamphetamine after a Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputy also noticed both tail lights were broken. During the stop, the deputy noticed Blankenship stuffing something in her shirt, according to the arrest report.
A K-9 alerted deputies to the likely presence of narcotics, which led to the recovery of nine bags of heroin, as well as two bags of methamphetamine, three backs of marijuana and a bag of fentanyl in her bra. They also recovered 13 alprazolam pills, a stash of plastic bags and a glass pipe in the car.
Blankenship, who was out on bond after being arrested for shoplifting at the Orange Park Mall and possession of heroin on May 25 and after being arrested in Middleburg on July 28 after being caught with heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl and alprazolam in her purse, was in the Clay County Jail on a new $318,025 bond.
