Couple busted for selling crack to CCSO informant

ORANGE PARK – A local couple were in jail after they were caught selling crack cocaine to confidential informant for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Danne Marie Harrelson, 35, Shawn Cain Smith, 20, both of Orange Park, and were charged On Jan. 16 with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell. Bond was set at $175,009 for Harrelson and $116,011 for Smith.
CCSO set up drug buys on Nov. 25 and Jan. 15. Deputies converged on their car in the parking lot on Park Avenue following last week’s sting. A search uncovered crack cocaine and marijuana in the car.

Two men busted for drugs during traffic stop

ORANGE PARK – A routine traffic stop for an expired tag led to the arrest of two men following a discovery of a bag of drugs.
Amiel Lopez, 33, of Jacksonville, was charged on Jan. 14 with trafficking amphetamines, methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, oxycodone, hydrocodone and possession of drug paraphernalia after a Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a pickup truck on Wells Road with a tag that expired last September.
Buddy Alan Sigmon, 47, of Middleburg, was a passenger in the front seat. He was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and amphetamines.
Lopez was a passenger in the back seat. A subsequent search by K-9 Chief alerted deputies to drugs in a backpack between Lopez’s legs. Inside they found the narcotics, as well as a scale and multiple syringes.
Lopez was held with a $192,019 bond.

Man caught selling heroin, cocaine near day care

ORANGE PARK – A Jacksonville man was arrested after he sold cocaine and heroin to an undercover information working with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Corey DeVaughn Glass, 46, was charged with possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to distribute or sell less than 1,000 feet from a child care center, as well as trafficking crack cocaine and using his cellphone to commit a felony.
Deputies set up a drug buy on Jan. 17. Glass sold the informant four grams of heroin and 28 grams of cocaine, according to the arrest report.
Glass’ bond was set at $475.012.

CCSO: Nurse took two rings from elderly woman


FLEMING ISLAND – A home health care nurse was arrested after an 88-year-old woman said two gold rings were stolen from her dresser.
Glenisha Georgia Shirley, 27, of Jacksonville, was charged with grand theft on Jan. 15 after the rings were reported stolen on Jan. 2.
The victim’s fulltime home health care nurse was out of town, so Shirley was hired for two days from a temporary nurse from By Your Side Senior Care.
Deputies later learned the stolen jewelry was sold to a local jewelry store. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office have recovered both rings.

Woman charged with prostitution, drug possession

ORANGE PARK – A woman was arrested on Jan. 16 on drug charges after Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies saw a man come and go from her hotel room.
According to the arrest report, deputies watched Brandi Marie McCary, 30, talk with a man in a gas station parking lot, leave with the man to a nearby hotel, with the man leaving approximately 10 minutes later.
When they entered her room, they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies catch woman selling meth from home


ORANGE PARK – A woman was arrested following a drug raid after she was caught selling drugs out of her home at 3662 Mateo Place.
Kristian Elaine Barnhill, 45, was charged on Jan. 14 with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and a firearm by a convicted felon and maintaining a house used for drug business.
Matthew Tyler Ikaika West, 33, of Orange Park was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
