GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The threat of Hurricane Dorian may have pushed the Clay County Master Gardeners annual fall plant sale back by two weeks, but it didn’t derail the overwhelming response. Thousands of plants were sold to help the University of Florida IFAS Extension Office’s educate the public on gardening and landscape techniques, and to maintain and enhance the public demonstration gardens at the County Extension Office. Master gardeners gave tours and lectures on a variety of topics focused on local horticulture, while children learned how to make bottle planters and birdhouses.
