MIDDLEBURG–Ridgeview High School Head Softball Coach and HVAC teacher Roger Harvey, 55, passed away unexpectedly this weekend. He was an asset to Ridgeview High School and loved by all.

Quote from Ridgeview Athletic Director John Sgromolo: “Our Ridgeview Panther family has very heavy hearts today with the news of the passing of our head softball coach and HVAC program leader Mr. Roger Harvey. Coach Harvey was a fantastic coach, who was extremely loved by his players and students. He was a hard worker, and had a passion for being on the softball field. The success that he brought to our softball program in such a short amount of time was just a testament of who he was as a person.
Mr. Harvey was also a fantastic teacher, who loved helping anyone on campus who needed it. Coach Harvey was a teacher, coach, grandfather, father, and to so many of our faculty and staff, he was a great friend. We will miss your contagious laugh and sense of humor. We know that you will be watching down on us this season, and as you always told your girls, #TOGETHERWEWILL “
The interim head coach of the program will be Bryson Barker who is already on campus at RHS. He will be assisted by Amber Amato and Arthur Allison. Barker and Amato were both on Harvey’s regional semi final staff.
