Mamie Jo Cate
Mamie Jo Cate, 86, passed away March 8, 2019. She was born September 25, 1932 in Lonoke, Arkansas and resided in Middleburg, Florida.
She loved to crochet and make crafts, loved the beach and anything butterflies. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper, waitress and worked in a canning factory, the Hunt’s Brothers. She ran the family rental business.
She was a mom/grandmother first. She raised her five children, several grandchildren and 1 great grandson! Family came first, always!
Mrs. Cate is survived by her 5 children; Joseph Randolph Ivy, Carolyn Sue Boyer, Gary Wayne Cate, Linda Marie Coger and William M Cate III and her 14 grandchildren; Judy, Ginger, Angie, Anthony, Amanda, Ivy, Christopher, Jennifer, William, Julie, Justine, Daniel, Jessica and Nicole.
A funeral service was held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 with family visitation arriving at 11 a.m. and extended family and friends to arrive at 12 PM at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road Middleburg, Florida 32068. Fran Householder
Fran Householder, 79, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away March 15, 2019. She was born on February 3, 1940 in St. Augustine, FL to parents William and Laura (Porter) Campbell.
Mrs. Householder moved to the local are in 1945 from St. Augustine area and was a homemaker as well as a former volunteer EMT for Clay County Rescue. She was of the Protestant faith and loved to arrange flowers, do arts and crafts and be with her loving family. She enjoyed gospel singing in nursing homes and senior citizens centers and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Pamela K. Batten (Mike), John “Rick” R. Householder, Jr., James W. Householder (Kris) and Anthony “Tony” P. Householder; brother, William “Billy” O. Campbell (Adela); grandchildren, Michaelle, Sara, Kali, Josh, Haley, Zach, Kachera, Austin and Kloe; great-grandchildren, Gracie May, Abbygail, Isabelle, Dominic, Kaelyn, Ezra and Addy and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 22, 2019 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
