Agnes Virginia Aultman Turner
Agnes Virginia Aultman Turner died Feb 2, 2019 surrounded by family in Green Cove Springs, Fla. She was born March 29, 1919, in Bainbridge, GA., to William Cicero and Fareby Eugenia (Harrell) Aultman.
She attended Pine Hill School, Georgia State College for Women and the University of Georgia. She taught school at West Bainbridge, Pine Bloom, and Leary, GA.
She and her high school sweetheart, Dewey Clevie ‘Doc’ Turner, were married 66 years when he died in 2007. After they wed in 1941, they operated a ‘rolling grocery store’ for Settles Bros. in Leary, GA and farmed. Clevie, was deployed to Cairo, Egypt in WW II as a medic in the Army in the African-Middle East theatre.
Agnes and their child, Marsha Ann, moved to Camp Blanding, Fla., where Agnes worked on the ‘Home Front’ in the alterations of military clothing at her in-laws’ laundry.
Clevie returned in 1946; they made their new home in Green Cove Springs and for the next 33 years owned and operated the Liberty Red & White IGA Grocery.
Son, Terry Glynn, blessed their lives in 1949. Born a Methodist, Agnes was a member of First Baptist, where she taught in the junior dept, and later attending Orange Ave, then Hibernia Baptist churches.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Garden Club, numerous bowling leagues, boat club, and the Women’s Club. ‘Doc’ always felt like he struck gold when he married his dear Agnes and always said ‘they never made another like her.’
Agnes’ claim to fame was her genuine sweet spirit and her passion as an immaculate seamstress; she spent hours creating quilts, clothing, drapes and her daughter’s wedding dress.
Agnes is predeceased by her husband, parents, sister, Mildred Rogers, brothers, Morris and Owen and their wives Clara and Emmie. She is survived by her children: Marsha Owens (David) and Terry (Deborah); a sister-in-law, Pat Turner, of Pensacola; and five grandchildren: Terrianne (Cary) Dicks, Laurie Lee (David) Burke, John (Joybeth), Todd (Penny), and Ryan (Jenny) Turner; 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1p.m. in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. David A. Howell officiating.
The family received friends from Noon until service time.
Interment followed at Hickory Grove Cemetery on Hwy 16 West, Green Cove Springs.

Karen Christine Ingle
Our beloved mother, Karen Christine Ingle of Middleburg, Fla. passed on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was born to Vernon and Betty Hoffman on January 22, 1956 in Sunbury, PA.
Karen is survived by her mother, Betty; sister, Linda; husband, James, her children Tracey, Jesse, James, and James W. 12 grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Hoffman in 1987; sister, Cindy Minium in 2015 and grandson Dennis Allen Yoder III in 1991.
She grew up in Richfield, PA and attended Middelburg High School in Snyder County, PA. She later attended St. Johns Community College in Orange Park, Fla. She worked for the Clay County Library System where she retired after 30 years.
Mom loved bird watching, sitting around the campfire, working in her yard, crocheting and drawing. Our mother was dearly loved and will be missed by so many.

Danny R. Foye

SMSGT Mr. Danny R. Foye, USAF E8 RET., 75 of Green Cove Springs, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019.
Mr. Foye was born January 7, 1944 in Jacksonville to parents Robert E. and Ruth E. (Sallette) Foye.
SMSGT Foye served 30 years total in the Military with 6 years in the Florida Army National Guard, 24 years in the Florida Air National Guard, and 12 years in Civil Air Patrol.
He was a member of Fleming Island United Methodist Church and former member of Riverview United Methodist Church and Berea Baptist Church both of Jacksonville.
He was past employed with the City of Jacksonville for 32 and a half years in human resources, and then was the human resources supervisor for 16 and a quarter years with the Duval County School Board.
Danny was an Andrew Jackson class, of ‘62 graduate and attended University of Florida and graduated from University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration, Class of ‘79.
He was an Eagle Scout and was involved with the San Mateo Little League for 20 years where he was the past president, and was also past presidents of North Shore Elementary School PTA and Florida Public Personnel Association.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time at his cabin home in Deep Gap, NC, Sudoku and loved his cat, Danielle. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Margie Foye of Green Cove Springs, daughter, Dena Horton (Mike), son, Danny Robert Foye, Jr. (Nina), step son, Nicholas Edward Bailey (Jenny), step daughter, Nina Foye (Danny), and siblings, Eddy Marion Foye (Jean), Mary Richardson, and Rozanne Zipperer (Jack). Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Horton (Amanda Olsavsky), Jeremy Bailey Foye, Mackenzie Elaine Foye, Kyleigh Grace Bailey, Keira Everleigh Bailey, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the Chapel of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home, 1811 Idlewild Avenue, SR 16, Green Cove Springs with Pastor Heather Harding and Pastor Gene Hodges officiating.
The family will hold a time of visitation from 11a.m. until the start of the service.
Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Nicholas Bailey, Matthew Horton, Mike Horton, Jeremy Foye, Danny Foye, Jr. and Eddy Foye. Honorary pallbearers are David Pike, Alan Pike, Buddy Hatcher, and Robby Hatcher.
A reception will follow at Fleming Island United Methodist Church, 7170 Highway 17, Fleming Island, Fla.
Feel free to drop off food at the church before the service after 9 a.m.
