Dr. Terry Tabor
Dr. Terry Tabor left a devoted and grieving family behind on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, as he made his exit from this earthly life. Surrounded by his wife, Joyce; daughter and namesake, Teri Rae Stevens and son-in-law, Russell Stevens, he made a peaceful and quiet departure — just as he lived his life!
Also left to mourn his leaving are his oldest and devoted granddaughter, Ashley Leigh Ann Stevens — of whom he was extremely proud and loved dearly; his youngest daughter, Leigh Ann Bronson (Frank) and three children, Max, Jake and Sydney, of Ft. Collins, CO; one remaining uncle, Perry Cunningham (Betty), and several cousins living in Roanoke, VA; his sister-in-law, Margarite Spanogle of Lookout Mountain, GA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and with whom he felt very close.
Terry was born in Maybeury, WV, July 17, 1941 and moved to McComas, WV, as a baby. There he grew up until his parents, Arnold M. Tabor and Frances E. Cunningham Tabor, moved to Princeton, WV, when he was in the 8th grade. After graduating from Princeton High School in 1958, where he was his junior and senior class president and a four-sport letterman in football, basketball, baseball and track and field, he attended and graduated from Concord College (now university). He was on the track and field team in college, throwing the discus for the duration of his time there. There is where he met his wife, Joyce Vinson, and they married on December 21, 1963. Upon her graduation in May 1964, they moved to Knoxville, TN, where he earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in Education from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Terry's beloved University of North Florida is the reason he came to Jacksonville in 1972 as a founding faculty member. He knew it would be a rewarding opportunity and for 35 years, it certainly was that for him. He loved teaching first in the College of Education, then in the College of Health. Getting his doctorate in Exercise Physiology afforded him the chance to teach students about a great love of his life — healthy living!
Terry was literally president of almost every group or organization to which he belonged throughout his life and played every sport he could play. He most enjoyed teaching/coaching young children all his life — starting out as a young teen coaching little league sports in his community,and continuing as his own children played numerous sports. He not only coached his children, he even coached his oldest grandson, Max, in little league basketball, during which time one of the other children on the team asked him "why is your hair white?" None of the other coaches had white hair!! :))))
He, Joyce and their daughters lived in Orange Park, FL, for just shy of 50 years and have been fortunate enough to have made many wonderful friends. The family would like to express their deep-felt gratitude and appreciation to many of those devoted friends for all their support and help during Terry's illness. Without the help and guidance of Dr. and Mrs. John Arnold, the family would not have made it through his toughest times!! There will be no services and his interment will take place at the local Magnolia Cemetery at a later date. If contributions are considered, the family would suggest donations to Community Hospice of Fleming Island, FL, and to a Terry favorite — St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are being handled by Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home of Orange Park, FL.


Ronald Kolczynski

Ronald Kolczynski, age 68, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away suddenly on March 23, 2021.
Ronald was born to parents, Florrie and Helen Kolczynski on December 19, 1952 in Auburn, New York. He graduated from Port Byron Central High School in June of 1971 and then from Cayuga County Community College in May of 1982 with an associate degree in Math and Science.
He married his beloved wife, Terry Kolczynski 32 years ago and the couple eventually settled in the Clay County/Green Cove Springs, Florida area.
Ronald was of the Catholic faith. He worked as a manager for the USPS where he eventually retired.
Service to his country was in the US Army from 1972 to 1975 with Reserve Service until 1978.
Anyone who knew Ronald knew he was an outdoorsman with a passion for hunting hogs on the west coast of Florida. During that time he gained many treasured friendships. He was planning an extensive RV trip with his wife where they would have enjoyed seeing the country and visiting many friends and family.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Terry Kolczynski; brothers Walter (Eleanor) Kolczynski and Gene (Carol) Kolczynski; nieces Anne, Crystal, and Wendy; nephew Edward; and numerous cousins.

Sharon Michelle Cole

Sharon Michelle Cole, 67, was a kind person, devoted to family members, athlete, educator, floral arranger, caregiver, sportswoman, and loving spouse. Sharon passed away on March 19, 2021 following a 19 month battle with cholangiocarcinoma, bile duct cancer. She was a courageous woman and an inspiration to all. There was no challenge that she would not face. She gave so much to everyone who knew her, and the world is a better place because of Sharon.
Born to Frank and Judy Cole on January 30, 1954. She leaves behind her loving spouse of 19 years, Terry Riggs; brothers, Bob (Kathy) and Frank (Andrea) Cole; father and mother-in-law, John and Frances Riggs, brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Theresa Riggs; nephews, Blake Cole (Vicky), Brett Cole (Emma), Christopher and Michael Gilbert, Matt Riggs; goddaughter, Olivia J. Murphy; great nieces and nephews, Norah, Bobby, Lincoln, Margot, and Dolores Cole. Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Judy Cole, and nephew, Brian Cole.
Sharon attended Terry Parker and graduated from Sandalwood High School. She received her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Education and Counseling from UNF. Her 31 year career with the Clay County School System began as a teacher at Middleburg Middle School and then as a guidance counselor at Ridgeview High School. She was also a talented floral arranger and worked in a family business at World of Flowers in Lakewood.
After Sharon and Terry’s retirement, they began a robust life which included boating, kayaking, fishing, and traveling all over the U.S. in a small motorhome and later in a larger travel trailer. After relocating to Palm Coast in 2011, they developed a group of friends who did just about everything together. After Sharon became ill, this group loved and supported Sharon and Terry and made their lives better in every way. She loved her friends and family deeply.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations. A visitation will be held before the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Clymer Funeral Home, Palm Coast, FL. Covid restrictions will be respected with masking and social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in Sharon’s memory to any of the following: Vitas Hospice Healthcare, the Flagler Humane Society, The Donna Foundation, Community Hospice of NE Florida.
Scattering of her ashes at sea will be done at a later date.
Sharon’s family entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
