Clay students complete U.S. Air Force training
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Three students from Clay County recently completed basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. The graduates are:
Trevon Walker, son of Archie and Stephanie Walker of Orange Park, is a 2015 graduate of Oakleaf High.
Devin J. Weylan is a 2015 graduate of Middleburg High.
Airman 1st Class Sierra N. Anderson is the daughter of Kimberly and Roger Anderson and the sister of Crystal Anderson of Fleming Island Fla. She is a 2014 graduate of Fleming Island and earned an associate degree in 2016 from Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville.
