JACKSONVILLE Before the start of Fleming Island’s preseason match with The Rock School of Gainesville, head Coach Amy Walker challenged her team to play with energy and passion.

Jasmine Robinson had nine kills and six blocks and Maya Walker added eight kills to power Fleming Island a three set victory 25-22; 25-12; 25-21 at the Don Barfield Gymnasium on the campus of the Providence School.
“We knew what we had going into the match, “ said Walker. “We were interested in seeing how the team chemistry and game flow would be. I liked what we saw today.”
In the opening set Fleming Island found themselves trailing 21-16 and after a timeout they went on a 9-1 run game o close out the set.
