CLAY COUNTY – As part of its Giving Tuesday and Holiday Donation Campaign, Junior Achievement of North Florida is pleased to announce its partner, Jessie Ball duPont Fund, has offered to double online donations up to $25,000. Each transaction up to $500 will be matched from now through Dec. 31 or until the donations reach $25,000, whichever comes first. Donors can visit janfl.org to give.
“This matching gift will help turn that $50 donation into $100 which will help provide JA programming to four students,” said Tiffany Mackey Guthrie, director of development for JA of North Florida. “It is more important than ever to inspire tomorrows and prepare students for the future. We would like to thank the Jessie Ball duPont Fund for this matching gift and we ask the community to please support tomorrows with a donation this holiday season.”
Locally, Junior Achievement serves Pace Center for Girls-Clay County and the Seamark Ranch School.
JA of North Florida has been delivering programs virtually to students from kindergarten to 12th grade since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down classrooms. A donation of $200 will help JA to recruit, train and deliver materials to volunteers. A donation of $500 will help fund a JA virtual program experience to a full classroom of students. The programs teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness to students to help them plan and dream for the future.
Giving Tuesday is Dec. 1. It was created in 2012 to encourage people to do good and has grown into a global movement that inspires people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.
