ORANGE PARK - For the first time, the Historical Society of Orange Park will host special tours to celebrate Black History Month.
Similar to the popular Moonlight on Magnolia tours done in October, these Black History Month Walks will venture through Magnolia Cemetery and focus exclusively on the fascinating African American history of the town.
There are a variety of entrepreneurs, veterans, teachers and other charming folks to meet as we stroll through Orange Park's past.
These rare-opportunity tours will occur on Feb. 15 and Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Each will take about an hour. Family members and/or acquaintances of several of those highlighted will be on hand to tell their stories.
There is no admission fee, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
