God’s time for you

God has planned a time for every person to meet Him. It is a time of His choice. Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2)

Jesus made it clear. “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.” (John 6:44) Listen to His voice in your heart.

God’s chosen time for you will be the time for your decision of destiny. This does not mean that there is only one time in a lifetime when you have opportunity to meet God. The sooner you heed His call, the sooner you will find order in your life.

If you reject Him and continue to reject Him when He calls, He will finally leave you alone.

This is what J. A. Alexander wrote about in his great old hymn with such powerful meaning:

There is a time, we know not when,

A point we know not where,

That marks the destiny of men

To glory or despair.

There is a line by us unseen,

That crosses every path;

The hidden boundary between

God’s patience and his wrath.

In one of the saddest verses in the Bible, Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, said, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” (Jer. 8:20 KJV).

There is a time to meet God. And that time must not be missed. Take the first opportunity the Lord offers you to meet Him. If you accept the first opportunity to meet Him, you will never have to worry about missing His last opportunity.

Today may be your day!
