The world considers the plan of God to be foolish. Worldly thinking cannot comprehend God’s plan to save mankind by sacrificing His own Son on a cross. This is totally foreign to all the “wisdom” of the world. So the world sees God’s divine design for salvation as a foolish and illogical plan.

When I speak of the world and the thinking of the world, I am speaking of a viewpoint that is not based in faith and the Bible but in the logic and reasoning of self-sufficient mankind. The “World” is human not Godly.

God’s plan does not make sense to this world view. They think it is God who is foolish and man who is wise. God says it is the opposite. “This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.” ~ (1 Cor. 1:25) NLT

The world does not believe that all men need a Savior. God says we do! The world does not believe one man can pay the price of sin for all men. God says He can and the One Man is Jesus of Nazareth. The world does not believe that there is only one way to be saved for eternity. God says clearly in His Word there is only one way!

The apostles preached that Jesus is the only Savior when they declared “There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 ESV)

So the world says that God’s plan and His ways are foolish because they have no faith to accept His plan. God says His “foolish” plan is the only way to Heaven and eternal life.

Do not make the foolish mistake the world makes. Understand and believe that God’s plan – His way – is the not just the best way; it is the only way.

Accepting His plan and believing His word is true wisdom.
