HENRY’S RUN: Feb. 3 at Oakleaf High School, 4035 Plantation Oaks Blvd. presented by the Run 4 Kids Davis-Flick Foundation and 1st Place Sports present a 5K and 1- mile fun run in honor of Henry Robert Kruck, who died of a rare disease called 1p36 Deletion Syndrome in February 2017. “A DRUG FREE DAY IN CLAY” Hosted by the Derek Hatcher Foundation and City Streets to Student Athletes present a symposium about the opioid crisis Feb. 3 from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Thrasher-Horne Center. This free event will feature real life stories, door prizes and interactive discussions about working together to keep the community safe.

JACKSONVILLE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA: An ensemble of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra will be featured in concert on Feb. 4 at 4 p.m. at Island View Baptist, 900 Park St. in Orange Park. 10TH ANNUAL I DID A HIKE! Feb. 24 with registration from 8-10 a.m., parking at the entrance to Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park and shuttles transport hikers to the trail on Camp Blanding. This 11-mile hike is the premier annual fundraiser to support the nonprofit Florida Trail Association. Tickets are $20 per person along with a $5 per vehicle entry fee into Gold Head Park. Registration is at the rec building in the picnic area of the park. There are take-out points along the way, if the overall hike is too long. No pets are permitted, service animals welcome.
