Neely makes Clemson Dean’s List
CLEMSON, S.C – Kaleigh A. Neely of Orange Park has been named to the Dean’s List at Clemson University for the fall 2017 semester.
Neely is majoring in bioengineering.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Banks graduates from Georgia Southwestern State University
AMERICUS, Ga. – Jordan Banks of Middleburg graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Fall 2017 Commencement Ceremony held Dec. 8 in Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center. Banks earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology and was one of 450 graduates.
The commencement speaker was University System of Georgia Chancellor Emeritus Stephen Portch, Ph.D.
Founded in 1906, Georgia Southwestern State University, is a public, four-year unit of the University System of Georgia with more than 3,000 students. Georgia Southwestern offers outstanding professional programs of study as well as degrees in the arts, humanities, sciences and graduate programs in business, computer science, education, English, and nursing.

Three Clay students earn honors from Florida Tech
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Three Clay County students were recently honored with Dean’s List recognition at Florida Institute of Technology for fall 2017.
Luc Larson of Fleming Island, Emily Broom and Jarrod Broom, both of Middleburg, were named to the Dean’s List.
To be included on the Dean's List, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade point average of at least 3.4.
Founded at the dawn of the Space Race in 1958, Florida Tech is the only independent, technological university in the Southeast. PayScale.com ranks graduates’ mid-career median salaries in first place among Florida’s universities, and lists Florida Tech among the top 20 universities in the South – both public and private. Fields of study include science, engineering, aeronautics, business, humanities, mathematics, cybersecurity, psychology, communication and education.

Christ earns SUNY Oswego President’s List
OSWEGO, New York – Charles J. Christ of Orange Park, a senior majoring in cognitive science, was recently named to the President’s List for the fall 2017 semester at State University of New York - Oswego.
Christ was among Oswego students who achieved a grade point average of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale. Those achieving a GPA of 3.30 to 3.79 earned Dean’s List recognition.
Admission to SUNY Oswego is competitive. A 157-year-old comprehensive college in the State University of New York system, Oswego enrolls about 8,000 students in its College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; School of Business; School of Communication, Media and the Arts; and School of Education.

Pereira graduates from NDSCS

WAHPETON, N.D. – The North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota, awarded degrees, diplomas and certificates to 106 Wahpeton, Fargo, N.D., and online fall semester graduates.
Dana Pereira of Green Cove Springs graduated with an associate of arts in liberal arts.

Valdosta State University Announces Fall 2017 Dean's List

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Two Clay County students were named to the fall 2017 Dean’s List at Valdosta State University.
Students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher are recognized by being placed on the Dean's List.
Cobi Jolley of Middleburg and Victoria Journey of Orange Park were more than 1,700 students earned a spot on the fall 2017 Dean’s List.
Established in 1906, Valdosta State University is a premier comprehensive university that offers both the extensive academic, cultural, and social opportunities of a major university and the small classes and close, personal attention of smaller institutions. Clay students named to Harding University Dean’s List
SEARCY, Ark. – The following students are among more than 1,400 Harding University students included on the Dean’s List for grades achieved during the fall 2017 semester.
Mackenzie Carroll, a senior communication sciences and disorders major from Orange Park and Emily Kilgore, a senior mathematics major from Middleburg, were recognized with Dean’s List honors.
To be eligible for Dean’s List, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.
Harding University is a private Christian university located in Searcy, Arkansas. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, it is the largest private university in the state. Harding's student body is made up of students representing 50 states and 54 nations and territories.

Peterson named to Dean’s List at The College of St. Scholastica
DULUTH, Minn. – Michela Peterson, of Green Cove Springs, was named to the fall 2017 Dean’s List at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.
Dean’s List honorees have achieved a 3.75 grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale. The College of St. Scholastica would like to commend Peterson for honorable academic achievements.
The College of St. Scholastica is nationally recognized for quality. Rankings by U.S. News & World Report and Money magazine classify it as one of the Midwest’s top regional universities.

Gussie makes Dean’s List

EMMITSBURG, Md. – Kielce Gussie of Middleburg has earned Dean’s List honors for the fall 2017 semester at Mount St. Mary’s University.
Mount St. Mary’s University is a private, liberal arts, Catholic university in the Catoctin Mountains near historic Emmitsburg, Maryland, with a satellite campus in Frederick, Maryland’s second largest city. The university offers more than 40 majors, minors, concentrations and special programs for traditional undergraduate students, and 20 adult undergraduate and graduate level programs.
