FLEMING ISLAND – A citizen helped Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies tackle a fleeing suspect who was eventually arrested for trafficking methamphetamine on Jan. 30.

Andrew Lance Quinn, 32, of Green Cove Springs, was also arrested for resisting, obstructing and opposing law enforcement, driving with a suspended license and fleeing law enforcement with lights and siren active after a deputy noticed him driving without a license tag at U.S. Highway 17 and Eagle Harbor Parkway.

According to the arrest report, Quinn fled on Eagle Harbor Parkway when the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop. CCSO broke off the chase, but the deputy saw the pickup truck parked in some bushes, and he chased Quinn. With the help of a citizen, deputies caught Quinn. According to the arrest report, in the process, they noticed a plastic bag containing more than 14 grams of methamphetamine.

Quinn’s bond was set at $230,011.
