HOME TWEET HOME BIRDHOUSE CHALLENGE: April 6 at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 Gum St., Green Cove Springs. Birdhouses need to be dropped off by noon with judging for three categories – children 10 and younger, Children 11-16 and adults. Silent auction of the birdhouses follow, as well as a fish fry dinner. Tickets for dinner are $10 and $5 for children. DINING OUT FOR LIFE: On April 25 will be NFAN's 14th annual DINING OUT FOR LIFE® in Jacksonville. Diners check the websites www.diningoutforlife.com or www.nfanjax.org for the list of participating restaurants and go dine out with friends, family, or co-workers. For that one day, 25 percent or more of your check will be donated by the restaurant to help support NFAN's services to HIV/AIDS clients and their families. EMPTY BOWLS EVENT: for Clay County Women’s Auxiliary is April 30 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Orange Park United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 2051 Park Ave. The event will feature lunch served in ceramic bowls created by local students. Visitors will be allowed to keep their bowls. Cost is $20 a ticket, with all procedes benefitiing the Clay County Salvation Army Food Pantry. A silent auction and bake sale are part of the program.
