A 69-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed by a car on County Road 218 Wednesday afternoon, followed by another accident involving a 57-year-old man on CR 214 in Keystone Heights that left him with critical injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

A 69-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed by a car on County Road 218 Wednesday afternoon, followed by another accident involving a 57-year-old man on CR 214 in Keystone Heights that left him with critical injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
Sivalingam Kumaravailu was struck and killed by an SUV driven by Doris Pruitt, 80, of Middleburg, shortly before 2 p.m. She turned right from Pine Tree Lane onto C.R. 218 and collided with the man who was riding eastward on the northbound lane, according to FHP.
Later, Keystone Heights' Lonnie Smith was injured when he steered his bike in front of an oncoming car as he tried to turn into the parking lot of the Watering Hole.
Smith and Melissa Dolinger, 33, of Keystone Heights were traveling northbound on CR 214. As they approached Hall Lake Road, Smith reportedly turned suddenly in front of Dolinger as she tried to pass him.
