GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Work continues to move along on track on the Spring Park Pool restoration project in the heart of the city. Here, a worker is shown pouring concrete as part of the pool’s foundation. The $2.1 million project is being funded with city, county and state funds. When complete, the attraction will include a two-story pavilion and a splash water area and an enhanced outfall for the mineral spring that feeds 135,000-gallon swimming pool as it flows into the St. Johns River. It’s on schedule for a Spring 2017 opening.
