FLEMING ISLAND – Team members from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty on Fleming Island helped local students get ready for school this week by taking part in the agency’s 17th Annual Backpack Challenge. Shown here are associates from the firm’s Fleming Island office who collected backpacks and school supplies for local students. “Every child deserves to begin the school year with a new backpack and the supplies needed for school,” said Linda Sherrer, president and chief executive officer. “A new backpack filled with school supplies is a wonderful gift, providing the tools every student needs to begin a successful school year.” Last year during the Backpack Challenge, the company collected a record 733 backpacks filled with school supplies for local children.
Golf tournament raises funds for Quigley House
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC of Jacksonville Florida recently organized a Golf Tournament in support of Quigley House. This company has generously donated funds to many not for profits in Northeast Florida. This year they selected Quigley House. There were many great contributions by the employees and supporters of Bridgestone. Two of the main supporters and organizers were Sonya Morrison and Lindsey Ledford. They are pictured presenting checks totaling $6, 085. 23 to Steve Conrad, Director of Fundraising.
The Golf Tournament held on July 15, 2016 was a great success and it was attributed the generosity of the Bridgestone employees and their friends.
