REAL MEN WEAR PINK: In its inaugural year, eight men take a stand against breast cancer and kickoff their efforts to fundraise for the American Cancer Society and raise awareness by wearing pink throughout October. DUAL FUNDRAISER: To benefit the Soul Food Festival and breast cancer, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m., Fleming Island Sleep Inn and Suites Banquet Hall. This year’s theme is party with a purpose, "Fifty Shades of Pink," honoring and celebrating those who have been affected by breast cancer and other cancer related illnesses. Tickets are $15 per person, $25 per couple or you may sponsor a table of eight for $100. Sponsors can elect to decorate their own tables to enter into a contest for $100. There will be dancing, door prizes, entertainment and light hors d’oeuvres.
